Putting the Casella Core Values into action, over a dozen Customer Care team members in Rutland, VT recently came together to give back to those who honorably serve our country meaningfully. The group crafted paracord bracelets and assembled care kits to be delivered to service members overseas.
“At Casella, we are driven by the power of service, always looking for new ways to connect and create a positive impact,” said Community Engagement Manager Abby Kristan. “Collaborating on projects such as assembling military care kits demonstrates our strong commitment to strengthening the bonds within our community through acts of kindness.”
Paracord bracelets are designed to be highly beneficial, particularly in emergency situations. They can be used to hang an IV bag, construct a makeshift shelter, create a sling for injuries, and serve many other critical functions.
With over 170,000 of the 1.4 million active-duty US military personnel deployed overseas, these care packages and bracelets provide a vital connection to home, offering both practical assistance and emotional support to our troops.
