Casella employees rallied together, traveling from four different states to pull a 45-ton aircraft at the 2024 Travis Mills Foundation Plane Pull. The Casella team, including numerous veterans from our workforce, raised over $4,000 to directly support post-9/11 recalibrated veterans and their families.
“We had a great team assembled. Over 25 employees and their families came out to support the Travis Mills Foundation. They all came here on their time to volunteer,” said Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Solid Waste Operations Sean Steves. “We are deeply committed to our veteran community. We find they’re a very disciplined, process-oriented segment of our society, and we love getting them on board.”
Casella’s ongoing partnership with the Travis Mills Foundation began after an impactful address by SSG Travis Mills at the 2024 Casella Operations and Maintenance Summit, which left our team inspired and ready to take action. This collaboration enhances our shared values and dedication to service. By investing our time, talent, and resources, we aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of those who have served our nation.
