Three Casella employees were named distinguished recipients of the 2024 National Waste and Recycling Association (NWRA) Women's Council Scholarship Recipients, announced at the annual Waste Expo, North America’s largest solid waste, recycling, organics, food waste recovery, and sustainability tradeshow, hosted by Waste360 in collaboration with the NWRA. Each scholarship recipient was granted a $5,000 award.
In 2007, the NWRA Women’s Council established an educational scholarship program to assist qualified individuals in pursuing an education that will lead to productive careers in the waste and recycling industry.
“We are thrilled to announce the recipients of the 2024-2025 NWRA Women’s Council Scholarships,” said Tammy Holtzman, chair of the NWRA Women’s Council Scholarship Committee and district manager at Waste Connections. “Each of these remarkable individuals has shown exceptional promise and dedication to shaping the future of the waste and recycling industry. We are proud to support their academic pursuits and look forward to witnessing their continued success.”
