Three Generations of Industry Devotion

Jessica Dibble - Horseheads, NY

Jessica Dibble holds Casella’s collaborative work environment in high regard, as it holds profound significance in her lineage, which spans three generations of inspiring women.

Dibble’s career at Casella began through a temp agency, solidifying her position in 2006 as a scale operator at the Bath, NY Transfer Station. Over the years, she immersed herself in various roles, mastering tasks from operating loaders to managing dispatch operations. In 2019, her dedication was rewarded with a promotion to Operations Supervisor before assuming the role of Operations Manager, a testament to her unwavering commitment and expertise.

The roots of Dibble’s passion for the waste and recycling industry run deep within her family.

“It’s something that I have been around my whole life,” she explains. “My grandpa, aunts, uncles, and Mom all have worked, and most are still working in the waste and recycling industry.”

Dibble’s mother previously served as the Operations Manager in Horseheads, NY. In addition, her daughter, Kaitlyn, has followed in her footsteps, joining Casella in 2023, marking the third generation of industry-devoted women.

“I feel grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside my mom and daughter. Working with a parent and child transforms the traditional relationship, presenting new roles and dynamics that may not have existed there before,” she remarks. “At Casella, we want to build our employees’ skills and to help train and create a high-quality and productive workforce, the same that I hope for Kaitlyn. My mom enjoyed seeing how much I’ve grown over the years, and I am excited to do the same with my daughter.”

Surrounded by relatives occupying diverse roles within the industry, Dibble found herself drawn to the dynamic environment and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully. When asked what she enjoys most about her job, she emphasized the people.

“I am fortunate to work with outstanding people every day. Even on the most challenging days, my teammates give me a reason to show up and keep moving forward. We depend on each other, support each other, and are a talented team.”

As Dibble continues her journey at Casella, she remains committed to upholding the legacy of empowerment and dedication that defines her family’s contributions to the waste and recycling industry.
