Q&A: Driver Alberto Montanez Carrillo

What position do you currently hold at your division?

I am a residential driver in Rochester, NY, and will be celebrating the first anniversary of my hiring date in September. 

What made you interested in working at Casella?

My brother once gave me a Hot Wheels car the same color as our Casella trucks. I will never forget that color, and when I saw a truck drive by it caught my attention and I knew it was a good opportunity.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

You have to enjoy what you do, and I could not be happier here at Casella. I am a people person. Seeing people smile and the interactions I have every day with my customers is what I like most about my job. I have customers who come out every week just to talk to me and say “hi” or offer me water. It means a lot to me. 

How do you serve our customers each and every day?

I have the best customers. I actually work for them. They hire us for a service, and it is my job to go above and beyond. I do whatever I can to help and make sure they are satisfied with our service.
