Salem, New Hampshire Driver Marc Lamkin transforms customer interactions into meaningful relationships that define true community care. Driven by an enthusiasm for helping others, Lamkin approaches his route as an avenue to go above and beyond.
My favorite thing about my job is my customers. The process of meeting people and helping people is why I do what I do. The community I serve in Derry, New Hampshire means a lot to me. A lot of my customers have been my customers for over 10 years.
To me, service means going above and beyond for our customers. That’s just what I like to do. I don’t need recognition or anything to motivate me to help people. I think of it as a crucial part of the job, and it honestly makes it more enjoyable for me as well.
I take great pride in the work I do, and I do it on behalf of my customers and the community. Every day, my customers are my inspiration to get out there on my route and provide the highest quality service they have come to know and appreciate.
I recently received a thank you note from one of my elderly customers for helping to bring her toters down and putting them back when I was finished. She has been my customer for 11 years. I received a heartfelt birthday card from another, which meant a lot to me. This is a customer-focused business, and I strive to care for people’s needs. I would want the same if I were in their position.
