Team Up to Clean Up with MITA
In an effort to keep local islands and waterways safe, clean, and enjoyable for all, our Casella team recently joined the Maine Island Trail Association for a cleanup event at Saco Bay. The group pulled off and properly disposed of over 150 damaged lobster traps from areas heavily utilized by recreational boaters of all types.
“With 258 sites along the coast of Maine, there is absolutely no way we could take care of them without all the volunteers that we have,” said MITA Regional Stewardship Manager Chris Wall. “And we are fortunate that Casella is a part of that.”
